Love Fall

I woke up this morning and I could feel the cool air, I know in my heart fall is on its way! Fall always feels like a new start for me, maybe its from my childhood days when I was heading back to school. I was that kid who would wait all summer for my school supply list to come in the mail. Now even though I am in the working world this feeling of new, and a fresh start has never left me. Its better than January as I am not a fan of new years resolutions....its fall, my favorite season of all!! (and no that rhyme was not intended. haha)

These are a few of my favorite things that refresh my health and wellness!

 Horseback Riding
 Hiking as the leaves turn

Take a moment....


Every day we wake up with a "to do" list. Whether it is rushing to a work meeting, picking the kids up from school, packing lunch, making dinner, grocery shopping, post office, cleaning, running errands etc,. it seems like we never take a moment to stop and appreciate everything around us. Remember when you were younger you would find a four leaf clover among the patch of grass, notice the new color of the neighbors front door or a lady bug crawling on a new oak leaf, or just stare at the sky looking at the shapes of the clouds? I want to bring back this feeling of awe and excitement.

Your homework this weekend is to stop everything you are doing for one minute (or longer), take a deep breath and look at the beauty around you.

Self Sabatoge

Thought of the day......


I live in the city and yesterday my husband walked out our front door and noticed a 5ft black snack. Where did he come from? So I took on the misson to save this little guy and place him in his natural habbitat. This made me think; everytime I look around, I notice that everyone reaches out to help an animal. We are against animal cruelity yet we abuse ourselves. We put unhealthy food in our bodies, put everyone before ourselves,  and sit on the couch instead of adding activity to our daily lives. Why do we allow this?!?!


To Do: Do one kind thing for yourself today! (get a manicure, take a bath, read a magazine, take a walk on your lunch break, choose a healthier lunch etc)

hmmm... I just may have been a little overly excited when I started researching nutrition/healing/wellness books and purchased a few :)

Perfect for summer reading though!!! I can't wait for day of sunshine, sand and a book on wellness.

Wellness Journal



I was reading the magazine Whole Living and they had an article about a new Wellness Journal from www.moleskineus.com. I think this is such a great resource for sticking with healthy habits. This journal has 240 pages with sections to record goals, exercise, diet, vitamins, doctors appointments, inspirations etc. You can even include recipes.

This is such a great tool as we start to get back on track before the holidays!
